ReplyDeleteDang certainly can do it up ol' skool... your picking up on the French strain (peep--> École Supérieure des Beaux Arts de l’Indochine 1925-1945). A few artists bridge the cultures well aesthetically. Dang, in particular has potent mix. He's also about as chill and generous a painter as can be. If you ever find yourself in Hanoi, look this guy up.
